Book early online for this one - sells out fast

What a great cap to a night out!!

These guys are so popular they do 2 shows on a Saturday night so we thought we could just rock up and see it. Not so - the 7.15 show was sold out, and the girl on the door said the only way to get on the next show was to go on line on our phones and get tickets - which we did. Was well worth it !!!

There are 4 acts in the show with a 10 min toilet / booze break after the first 2 acts. Really raw comedy. The compere ripped mercilessly on one young lad in the audience, which I have to say was very funny for everyone, but in truth the poor lad was mortified, and I encourage the host to rip on those who can (a) stick up for themselves, and (b) won’t mind so much. This poor guy was neither of those!

The compère also ripped on me as a Brit - but in fairness I agreed with his comments re Brexit and the UK, and it was all in good humour. Plus I am unembarrassable - and yes, that is a challenge!!

The venue is really compact and friendly - very personal. Absolutely loved every minute of the show - all the acts were great. One act in particular stood out; can’t remember his name, but he looked a lot like Jesus (amazed he didn’t make something of that in his routine). His act was super-original, (as were the others in fairness). This guy brought out the gritty reality of growing up in the North - really good stuff.

Definitely recommend this venue. They let you take your Guinness up from the pub downstairs, and even remind you when the shows about to start, (which is helpful after so many Guinness’s).

Amazing

Came to the comedy club not expecting much as its a very small club, but i was surprised as even on a sunday evening the small room was almost full and as the comedians came out the crowd wasnt as interactive as it could've been but the comedians still made the evening thoroughly enjoyable and I'll definitley be going again.

4 acts in total - around 2 hours long with a 15 minute break
May 2019 • Solo
I went to early show on last Saturday, and I can say I had a pleasant time, and even laughed on more than one occasion.

Price is 10€, is not so little, but again not too much. I would dare the say price is just right.
Space is too small for amount of people they admitted, so around 10 people were left standing during the whole 2 hour show.
Prices of drinks seemed a bit excessive to me, but since I didn't visit other pubs in Dublin I can't say for sure (pint of Guinness 5.7 € or something like that).

In total there were 4 acts.
First MC (host) does some intro of 10 minutes where he warms up the audience, and interacts with them. Then comedians come 1 by 1 and do their acts, and MC between them. After 2 acts there's a 15 minute break.
MC has some good and funny lines, which I had a feeling where mostly made up on the spot, so kudos to him for that.
Of the 4 acts of that night, I can only complain about one, lady that come on second and was showing some picture, and my main reason of complaint was that she was too quiet and couldn't hear her well, so I basically was bored during her act.
Other 3 comedians had each few good ringers, but I can't say any of them hit me with 100% of their jokes.

All in all, I'm glad I went, and would probably repeat the experience.

Worth 10 euro

Went to the first show on Friday night, saw 3 comedians. The first one was a little bit of a struggle but the 2nd and 3rd were hilarious. The host was pretty funny too. It’s a small room and the comedians try to get the crowd involved which wasn’t always a success, I guess it depends on the crowd. But for 10 euro it was very entertaining and well worth it for 90 minutes of laughter!!

Great engagement with the audience

My boyfriend persuaded me to go to a comedy show here and to be honest I wasn't that interested. However, I was pleasantly surprised we had a great laugh and the comedians was well capable to hold the crowds attention. We've went back a few times since and it doesn't disappoint. We've never had the same comedians so it adds a bit of mystery to the night.
I would highly recommend getting there for door opening time as the seats fills up very quickly and I personally don't think I'd fancy standing up for the whole event!!

Ripped off...

My GF and I were planning to go here for an early show on a Saturday, Checked out the website and saw you could buy tickets online. We planned on going to dinner beforehand, so we bought tickets online €2 more online, so if dinner overran past door opening time we would be okay. It turns out that was a mistake.

Buying Tickets online is POINTLESS. we arrive 15 mins before the show was due to start only to be told the show was full. When I raised that we bought tickets online for this show we were told "that doesn't matter and she didn't run that"... wait it gets better.

We were told we could TRY AGAIN for the later show in 2 hours, so we thought why not. Went away had a coupe of drinks and missed the next show. Now I cant even get a refund because no one will reply to me! ROBBED.

If you do wish to go, dont be fooled by thinking buying online is a smarter decision. It literally does nothing!

About as funny as a fire at an orphanage

I think the title says it all really. The ‘comedy’ standard was a joke, that’s pretty much the only funny thing all night, the people in the stage calling themselves comedians.
We gave it 20 minutes and walked out, I literally could take anymore and neither could the half dozen or so people who left before.
Instead of charging people €10 to come in they should charge them €20 to leave, they’d make for more money.

Brilliant gig and good value for money
Jun 2018 • Friends
Went to the international comedy club on Friday with a few mates. I go to come y pretty regularly and I watch a lot of it so I'm not a total amature. This place is really different from The average club its smaller, kind of dindgy, dark and there's no microphone so the performers kind of shout! However he show was brilliant the headliner david Mc savage nearly made me cry with laughter. The only low light was that we were st the back of the room and we could hear the band who were playing downstairs. My mate said it to the MC of the gig and he sorted it out- in fact when it happened again he said it in stage -it was really funny! Good to be part of the act!
