We drove from Clifden to Ballyconelley, on to Roundstone and then back via the Bog Road. Roundstone was a lovely stop, wander down and take brilliant photos of the bay with the Bens in the background. Lovely cup of tea in one of the cafe's.

What a beautiful part of the world. I just wasn't expecting to see such magnificent beaches here. White white sand, crisp clear water, and a quaint village. Dogs Bay was the highlight. A must visit if your are in the Galway area of Ireland.

Possibly take wetsuits if you want to be in the water a lot. Beware of brown jellyfish but the purple ones are absolutely harmless.

Well worth a trip if you get a sunny day, head out to walk on this gorgeous beach. there is a campsite at the beach, the little village is worth a short visit, and the drive from Galway city is magnificent. Enjoy!
