A good place to go for a walk and breathe in the air but in February did not feel special in any particular way ? Seemed like any other British or Irish beach ?

You have it all in one as so much to offer, the views, the stay in the fabulous choice of accommodation in Salthill. The seaview onto the Co Clare and onto the Aran Islands.

Walk to watch them jump of the Black Rock tower or just go for that swim. You can enjoy the sea views of Clare and take the freshness in.

We stayed at a B&B on Salthill and walked along the Salthill Beach everyday. The water was cool but there were still a couple people swimming. There was a cute little coffee shop on the beach too, which is worth checking out. I would recommend watching a sunset here - beautiful!

There is a long walk from the Claddagh to Salthill which well worth undertaking. Alternatively parking s available free along the prom. For hardy souls there is a high diving board area at the Salthill end of the prom which is very popular.

Went for a walk on Salthill promenade last month and it was breath taking. Fabulous views of the Burren and Clare hills. Lovely holiday feeling to the place. Very busy with tourists.

We bought a lunch and sat at the beach, it was a really wonderful day, no rain and lots of people walking along the ocean. There was places to eat, but really recommend buying your lunch and sit to watch people, animals and the water!
