We went to Roisin Dubh after buying tickets online for 8e each so weren't expecting much. Blown away is all I can say, the MC for the night was just brilliant and got the crowd going, including shots of jager meister to start off the evening. The comedian for the night Chris Kent was hysterical, we laughed and cried and... More

We were here for ladies night during the Galway races. Great atmosphere ~ lively and upbeat. I had a Guinness. Lots of bands. Friendly staff. Good fun!

Probably my favorite pub we visited in Ireland. Galway is great in general, though. No live music the nights we were there, unfortunately, but the staff is cool and so is the pub, except for the third floor restrooms. That part is not cool.

I love the Roisin! The alternative selection of music is always something that will catch your attention, and I have gone on to start listening to quite a few of the acts that I heard there! The staff are good craic, and the crowd that the spot attracts are lovely interesting people! The smoking area is always jammed and you're... More

We went to see Brian Deady here during the Galways Arts Festival... Whoa, what a great night out!! The Roisin Dubh and indeed all of Galway was buzzing for the weekend and this pub/venue has a cosy, casual feel about it. My only criticism is that the drinks are quite expensive.

A group of us (Australians) were passing through Galway on a Tuesday night as part of a road trip around Ireland and ended up here. And whoa, it was cranking! There was a silent disco downstairs, but we didn't go to that. We hung upstairs instead and danced as a DJ spun tunes from the likes of M83, Kendrick Lamar... More

The Roisin Dubh is a three storey terraced venue on lower Dominick Street in 'the west' end of Galway city centre. It is primarily an extremely popular pub with a casual grungy feel. Bathrooms and smoking area are on the first floor. A dark cosy ground floor space with a small stage in one corner is used for gigs, comedy... More

My husband and I came here for a drink and ended up staying all night! We watched an open mic night which had a fun crowd full of locals. Afterwards stayed to see the band John Connelley Inc. and were extremely impressed with the talent (had to pay an extra cover, though). Bartenders were friendly and helpful. Would definitely go...
