Great sporting facility and beautiful scenery in the heart of Galway City , sometimes used for big races and cross country running . We have been here a few times to run and watch races .Walking trail along the shore as well.

The beautiful views of Galway Bay make this an ideal walking location, great path along by Bay and all the way to the Light House. Just a really refreshing walk into the "breeze" off the Bay.

This was originally known as the swamp back in the days when The Claddagh was a fishing village on the Corrib. Since been turned into a open space for sports.
