We decided to venture to Ross Castle before the hurricane hit this morning. The grounds are gorgeous! We could only walk around the outside since it was closed. Definitely worth a stop, hurricane or not.

We went on the guided tour and it was very informative. Went over the history of the castle and how it was rebuilt. There is a lot of steps.

Any Castle is exciting, beautiful grounds, restroom facilities. We travelled by horse and buggy from Killarney, which was a wonderful experience of the National Park.

The Ross Castle B&B is in Oldcastle County Meath and not the one in Killarney. There is a disclaimer in their website.

There are a few in and around the castle, but to be honest it's so busy and crowed, it's not the sort of place I would stop for a picnic. Too noisy.
