Beautiful sights and sounds at Devil's Punch Bowl. I would recommend this place for anyone who is interested in taking beautiful scenic pictures or who loves nature!

Situated near the wonderful town of Killarney, Mangerton mountain is a challenging but stimulating hill walk with wonderful views of south Kerry.

The most extreme hike I have ever made, but I'm glad I did it! It was a difficult hike to the top with sometimes a bit of rain. We alreay read that it was hard but the grit everywere some parts were tricky. The hike towards the punchbowl is 800 meter steep, but the view at the end is magnificent.... More

Climbed to the Punchbowl over the weekend. The morning was rainy so I waited until the afternoon to set off. The weather cleared so I had spectacular views back over the lakes and to the Magillacuddy Reeks. It is quite a tough climb, very rocky and with loose stones which could easily lead to an ankle injury. I wore trail... More

Great place to visit. Good tough walk. The unfit can do it too . I was medium for n my hubby unfit. I found it fine. A bit steep know places. Bring food and water mobile phone and safety flash light, just in case. Fog can come down quick so take no chances. But fabulous day out.

Magnificent views and scenery after a devil of a climb...one of the wildest spots you will come accross and one of my favourite spots in Ireland. Usually visited in better weather but the minus is the throng of visitors...visit this Sunday was very quiet with only a few souls braving the elements. Also managed to drive through the Gap and... It's not a very tough climb. I suppose it takes about 2 hours up and a little over an hour back. The Punch Bowl itself is worth the walk but on a clear day there are excellent views over the Lakes of Killarney.

This is one of my favourite hikes near Killarney. If weather is good and the underfoot dry, then this is a pretty straightforward walk with few dangers on the way. Allow more than 3-4 hours unless you are fit and in a hurry. The coom (glaciated lake) is pretty and very photogenic depending on the play of (hopefully!) sunlight. Views... More

So much fun. Need excellent pair of shoes as the top is covered in slates and very slippery even when dry. A fear of heights might slow you down as you walk on the mountain edge for the last part. The devils punchbowl is about 2/3rds up the top of Mangerton. Very enjoyable! Give yourself 4 hours to go up... More

The walk to the top of Mangerton around the devils punch bowl is a great days exercise. The first mike or two is the toughest part. The views from the punch bowl and from the top are fantastic and worth the effort.
