very lovely

A delightful spot where the three lakes converse and where there is the old bridge. Is a walk of about 30 minutes from the nearest car park but well worth it in fine weather.

The Meeting of the Waters sounds like something out of Lord of the Rings – and I wouldn’t have been surprised to see a hobbit appear during the very (and I mean very) long walk from the small roadside car park to our destination. As we set off on our trek down the seemingly endless single track road the signs... More

First of all, we walked for hours thinking there was a way to walk there from the park. Only way to, was to walk on the street. When we got to the beginning off the walk, it said it would be a 15 minute walk. Was more like 45. When we finally got there, it was definitely not what I'd... More

I would recommend to take a drive around the Mountains and rent a boat to sail around the three Lakes -Lough Leane, Muckross Lake (also called Middle Lake) and Upper Lake. They are so calm and offer the spectacular views around the lakes.

We passed the meetings and under the bridge on the Gap of Dunloe tour. It is a beautiful place with some great views and history. Not a must see place but if you have the extra time it will add to your experience.

This was on the hiking/biking path from town to Torc waterfall... but the view, while lovely, are not really very different from other views (some better) of the lakes and mountains

There's a long walk from the parking lot to Divis Cottage with not much of a view on the way. We gave up after a brisk 10min walk as there was little to see and the cottage was closed.

My girlfriend and I visited here during a driving golf/distillery holiday of Scotland/Ireland in August 2015. While it is peaceful, there is not really much to it, except of course the famous Thomas Moore tree. We saw this place driving through but it is not too interesting, and if you were pushed for time, you could miss it.
