I went with my brother. i had a little experience of hiking but my brother had none. Our guide for the day was Mike and i can say there is no better man for the job. The pace was nice and steady with no rushing which makes it easy for novices. Mike has a wealth of knowledge of the Kerry... More

I climbed Ireland's highest peak along with a group of friends, with Piaras and his colleague last November in a blanket of snow. Piaras was a great leader and also great craic along the way. We felt at ease in his company and he told us some of his stories from the mountain and other ventures he'd been on. He... More

We climbed Carrauntoohil with Piaras on St Patricks Day 2017, and we thoroughly enjoyed it, despite the monsoon conditions! Piaras is incredibly knowledgeable, professional and experienced, and we felt very confident and safe with him. Piaras provides interesting information about the local area and also imparted much of his knowledge about how to stay safe and enjoy yourself in the... More

I had a guided walk to Carrauntoohil on 11th March, 2017 and i enjoyed very much. My guide Mr. Piaras from Kerry climbing was amazing and his knowledge on this trail was brillaint. The point from booking process, the greatest walk to the summit and transfer to and fro Killarney made their services to appreciate. I highly recommend this company... More

I've been meaning to put up a review here for a while. Decided new years day that it would be great to climb Carrauntoohil as the weather was so beautiful, something rare in Kerry in January. Rather than attempting this myself, I decided to go with a guided group, and went with Kerry Climbing. Joined Piaras and group on Jan... More

I've lived in Ireland for the last 3 years, and have wanted to hike Carrauntoohil since first going to Killarney. I know the weather in Ireland can be unpredictable and have heard enough horror stories about the mountains in Kerry to know that going with an experienced guide really is the best option. So I was very happy to finally... More

What a fantastic way to climb and with a superb guide Pearse. Highly recommended to anyone who doesn't know the area and for a safe sumit. Do however come prepared with proper footwear and for changeable weather conditions. Fantastic photos from up and down to the top. Wishing ye the best for the rest of the season

Great day out with Piaras and Mike tackling the Coumloughra Horseshoe. Fantastic route, enjoyable scrambling and amazing views along the way. The guys were very professional and knowledgeable and most of all good craic and easy to chat to. Would definitely recommend Kerry Climbing for a day out on Carrauntoohil!

I booked this hike on a solo trip to Ireland and it ended up just being me along for the ride. It was not the best day to climb this one (the extreme wind kept me from getting to the top) but it was a great day. We went up Devil's Ladder (which was pretty much a waterfall) and came... More
