We happened to stumble upon the Butter Slip while we were walking along the main street in Kilkenny. It's a little, sloping, "secret" passage way/shortcut between streets. The sign posted on the outside warns that the stones can be slippery...hence "Butter Slip". Little shops and...More

Pretty much a simple alleyway. We happened upon it while looking for our lunch stop. So if you happen to be near it. Why not.

I’m not sure why this is a must see? It’s just an alleyway? Slippery if moist, pretty dark and lots of teenagers hanging around

I loved exploring this beautiful place ... Just perfect to take photos. It kind of feels like you walked into a Harry Potter scene :)

Very interesting. Really gives a sense of life in a medieval town, along with the Medieval Mile Muserum.
