Have made 5 trips to Kilkenny over the years, and always make a point of visiting the 'Bridge' for a couple of pints. Very friendly staff, on the last trip it looked like it was going to rain so the barman gave the 2 ladies in our group 2 brolleys from the lost property. Live music is always of a... More

Pre dinner after work Friday evening sunny tired and kuds in company...to walk in made feel welcome and helped feel at home...pints are pints particularly if draft large market brands ie not artisan or craft but its the small things in pubs that matter..service cleanliness including that of toilets and friendliness...this bar is one of that ilk..

Tynans I believe is the oldest pub in Kilkenny. It has a charm that is unique. The counter of the bar is all crooked as is the floor as you enter. I was served a lovely cool pint of Guinness and the barman is such a character. Would recommend if visiting lovely Kilkenny.

Very friendly staff. Couple of lads singing were excellent. As 2 mature females out this bar was great. No young people too drunk or rowdy.

Met a couple whilst we were out and they took us to this bar, it isn't the biggest but it is exactly what I expected from an irish bar. There was live music and everyone was up dancing along. If you are in Kilkenny and want a traditional night get over to this bar and enjoy some great Irish hospitality

A couple of musicians playing a guitar and banjo, they were fantastic. Everyone in the pub joined in, from Liverpool to Paris it... More

Had just the one drink here at the weekend. It was very quiet and cold. I'm sure it's a different type of place when there's a crowd in but it just felt freezing so we drank up and left.

This is a really traditional pub with a great atmosphere. Always busy at night. Good mix always of regular customers and visitors. Certainly worth a visit when in Kilkenny.

This is a great 'old man's pub'. I always have a drink in here when I'm in Kilkenny. It the place to go if you're away for the weekend with a group of friends, or as a couple. You meet some crazy people and have a laugh. Its always packed (except when half the pub goes outside for a cigarette!).... More
