This is a nice city centre pub - for almost six years they have had a poetry night every Wednesday night. I enjoyed taking part and heard a couple of very talented poets. A credit to all those who organise and attend the readings!

Popular among the thespians of the city. It is a lovely pub with a nice atmosphere and plenty of character. It hosts alternative events like poetry readings ect which make it an enjoyable change from the usual ho hum.

The White House Bar was the first pub I visited when in Limerick and it became a firm favourite! This traditional Irish pub is so atmospheric both during the day and in the evenings and the staff that looked after us were absolutely superb. Thank you ladies and gents for looking after us as you added real value to our... More

Every Wednesday night all year round at 9pm is a poetry night- you can read your own if you like plus a visiting poet highlights every week. Good entertainment in a pub which retains old world features- no TV. Compere Barney Sheehan must be seen and heard. Night rounds off with free finger food. Highly recommended. Friday nights have DJ... More

We were here before and after the Horslips gig last night. This is a gorgeous pub, a credit to Limerick city that places like this are still going. Very nice fresh beer, maybe a craft beer or two wouldn't go amiss but it might not be that type of pub. They brought out chips, dips and coctail sausages around 6pm... More

Recommended by taxi driver, all of whom were credit to limerick. The pub a traditional boozer one of oldest in limerick which was like someone's front room, it was packed with mature clientele enjoying the music and good beer. It has poetry nights and NO tele. It had lovely feel that finished off our stay.
