The grounds are so impressive. So well kept, so clean, so attractive. It's an absolute pleasure to walk the vast grounds. So many different walking route choices too which is great. There's always people around and activities going on so walks feel very safe. An enjoyable way to pass an hour in Limerick.

The University campus is about a 10-minute drive from the center of town or about 15 minutes is coming from the norht side of the river. This was Saturday morning and visitor parking was free. We walked around the campus along sidewalks and trails. Pleasant-looking buildings are integrated into the green areas.

Ideal for a lovely walk beside the Shannon river. Then you will see many different birds and enjoy their songs. Feel hungry? Then have a lunch at the Pavilion. Yummy. So refreshing

I would highly recommend UL as an Alumni of the University. It is a sensational campus, by in far the best in Ireland. The student atmosphere, the lecturers, the river running through campus, is all incredible. There's an amazing international presence on campus also, with almost 15% of the students being international. Highly recommend UL to anyone thinking of studying... More

For both sports or just a walk, you can't really go wrong. Great pool, gym (very/too busy) and pitches are exceptional. Or if u are just looking to have a leisurely walk along the Shannon you shouldn't go any further!

Nestled along the river Shannon the extensive campus is a treat to the eye and a credit to the tasteful development plans for the university. The student villages are dotted around the perimeter as apartment blocks. The concert hall area has lovely fountains out front and the sports centre to the dublin road side has an Olympic pool and diving... More

The walk through this campus is like no other in Ireland, this campus stretches between Clare and Limerick over the river! The walk along or across the river is very scenic and a lot of Irish native species can be seen around this part of the campus! The campus is incredibly cleans and boasts a very open-forest feel to it!... More
