Our first destination after arriving in Dublin was Fourknocks Passage Tomb. For this you arrive at the sight and get the driving directions to pick up the key. Had a good laugh when looking for the house! The house next door, which I thought was...More

We went at dusk and it was so good we went back in day light. Key is kept a distance away go straight do not go left at the dog leg. It's surprising big inside but bring a torch.

This is a magical place, off the typical path, sitting in the lovely Boyne valley. The views around it are stunning, sheep all around, the river Boyne down below. Very personal experience, to think this place is over 3000 years old! Do your homework BEFORE...More

I think seeing Newgrange Farm first and gaining the knowledge regarding its construction and use help me better appreciate this site. Real plus is being by yourself inside versus the group experience at Newgrange. Warning because it is not an easy place to find and...More

Tucked away from the other sites and located on a private property. Very quite and interesting place to visit.

Waited in front of mr white's house for 2 hours. Went to a neighbor they couldn't help. Frustrated. I really wanted to see it. If mr whites is not home I guess there's nothing you can do.

Didn't even know this place existed! Such a lovely, personal visit. It's a mini version of newgrange and you can go into the tomb as well.

Our small bus tour guide, John (Day Tours Wicklow/Hilltop Treks), collected the key to this quiet country site. Four Knocks is a 2000+ year old passage tomb with carved lintels in an inner chamber that is larger that Newgrange's. The passageway aligns with the sun...More

Unlike New Grange which is now very organised almost to the point of regimented - The Four Knocks is a much moire intimate experience. The key is obtained from Mrs White who lives about a mile down the road. Bring €20 for the deposit. You...More

It is a very small place. It is not an easy place to find and get to. You may need just 30 min once you get there. It is on a private property.
