Really enjoyed this museum, it’s totally free and nicely spaced out, sometimes museums can have too much stuff and it’s too much to take in. staff friendly and helpful,

We recently visited Monaghan town and were pottering about the shops when we happened upon this museum situated just off the market square. From the outside, it looks like a standard size building but upon entering it becomes very expansive indeed. There are lots of...More

I drove up with my teenage daughter to Monaghan to see their exhibition about the Spitfire that crashed there in 1942. It's a small but very detailed display and very little of the Spitfire is on display but the exhibit doesn't suffer because of that....More

I bet my husband that we would be in and out in 15 minutes. I was so wrong! This is a great little museum with loads of local artefacts and a very interesting exhibition on the history of policing in Ulster. Well worth a visit

This is a suprise! I wouldn't have imagined seeing such detailed museum in the town with historical items from all of Ireland's ages.

Such a range of artefacts in this museum. The system is easy to follow and clearly signposted. Takes about 40 minutes to cover the range. Don't miss the beautiful Cross of Clogher. The museum is free.

Small museum but good range of things on display and interesting temporary display. My 8 year old found it interesting and staff friendly.
