We were driving through Sligo and decided to tour the two Cathedrals that are side by side. This church of Ireland is very interesting Cathedral but is very limited on a time when its open or having services. This seems to be a trend with Anglican churches throughout Ireland. We enjoyed the visit and the grounds of this cathedral.

Sligo has two cathedrals and it is good to see both in such close proximity. The earlier cathedral is this, the Church of Ireland one dedicated to St Mary the Virgin and St John the Baptist. We only had time to look around the graveyard which is extremely interesting with members of W.B. Yeats family and also that of Bram Stoker being interred here.We will definitely pay a return visit to see inside the church .
