To sweet for the ham and cheese crepe unfortunately. If you like it sweet than thus is your go to place 😊
Not for me since very sweet even thogh I did not go for the savory crep and the cheese was in blocks and not even melted. Will never order again, only if I wanted something with nutella guess it's a style chise but sadly not my taste, do not want sugar on my cheese and ham 😬

Rewarding experience with stunning views
Aug 2021 • Couples
A really rewarding experience and the scenery is stunning on your ascent. We approached from the Ransboro side starting from the good sized car park. It took me about 30 minutes and the climb is strenuous enough so a moderate level of fitness would be needed. The paved path from the car park is easy enough to navigate but the ascent gets steeper from the gate half way up. There are plenty of places to stop for a breather and take in the views before the steeper section takes you to the summit. I’d recommend a pair of sturdy shoes as the loose stone can be tricky. Once at the top however your efforts are rewarded with the most wonderful views. Take binoculars and feast your eyes. It was a lovely day and the views over Benbulben, Ox Mountains, Lough Gill and of course the sparkling blue Atlantic were spectacular. It was really good to get up close to Queen Maebh’s tomb which is quite remarkable. It’s also worth spending the time finding the other cairns that are up there. I personally found the descent a bit tough on the knees but it was so worth it for the sense of achievement. A must do if in the area.

Amazing views
Aug 2021 • Family
This trail is a must if you're visiting Strandhill. I parked at Sligo Rugby Club and go across the road from there. This is a strenuous climb in parts. It is very easy to follow and seating to admire the views on way up. Boardwalk can be slippy in places and has a rope in parts of it to use as a handrail. I went in the afternoon so thankfully not many people there. The views are amazing when you get as far as the Cairn. Took approx 1.45 hrs up and back. Don't forget to make small contribution to the Rugby Club for the use of their carpark, box just inside their entrance

Knocknarea or Queen Maeve's Grave
Aug 2021
Most reviews had this as a couple of hours walk, but there is a extensive 6+km walking route that would be worth doing going up and over Knocknarea if it suited you. We went from the older side, (From Google Maps in the Carpark) the other entrance is form the Strandhill side. Knocknarea over looking Sligo, dominating the landscape along with Benbulben, with the amazing cairn sitting on top, one of the biggest monuments of its type in Ireland and the place/Views were astounding! well worth the climb and would leave enough time to complete the full walk. Another great outdoor walking location with loads of history!

Well worth the climb just for the view
Jun 2021 • Couples
We climbed up the well trodden path to the top of Knocknarea to take in the the spectacular view of Queen Maeve’s tome, Cairns and surrounding area, the paths was quiet step in places and I would describe moderate difficulty, the was a coffee kiosk in the car park at the beginning with some interesting notes of interest regarding the area whilst you made your way up. The was a bench about half way up for those who want a break.
Well worth the climb if just for the view

Queen Maeves Trail, Knocknarea
Jun 2021 • Couples
It was quite an easy climb and the lovely weather was an icing to the cake. The view from half the climb is just super amazing. On one side you get to see the pretty, blue waters of the Strandhill beach while the other side gives a glimpse of the spectacular benbulben. Absolutely worth the climb.

Thoroughly enjoyable

A lovely climb with stunning views on the descent. We walked from the Rugby Club up to Queen Maeve’s tomb. It’s a relatively easy walk with lots of boardwalk sections and paths through forests. Lovely views of the sea and Strandhill Airport.
