I'm from Sligo and this remains my favourite place to bring visitors! If you fancy a longer walk I would start on the strandhill side. Parts of this are quite steep but you get great views of the bay and strandhill all the way up....More

From the top you can see for miles up and down the coastline and back into Sligo bay and the surrounding Hinterlands. I prefer to walk up the old way from the 'Glen road' side of the mountain, check out the Glen it's quite well...More

Amazing walking trail, that gives you a fabulous walk enjoying the view. Will not recommend for young kids and buggies. You will get astonished all the way, we got snow flakes when was arriving to the top of the mountain it was breath taking experience....More

Steps were installed for easy access across from the rugby club however I find that it is a lot more difficult especially if there is people walking against you or if the wooden steps are slippy. However, nails are hammered into the wood to provide...More

Fabulous walk... we parked at rugby club and yes the steps are the start are tough I think. Make sure to stop for a coffee ☕️ at the other side.

This is a walking trail. It is mostly steps and would be best suited to people who are fairly fit. If you take your time it is definitely possible for most people to complete. Not suitable for buggies or young children especially as you go...More

Tough climb - bring water with you. Fantastic views from the top but don't be silly and climb when raining or foggy - you need a clear day to fully appreciate it
