OH, how i wish i could remember the name of the lovely young lady that helped us! Very cute and bubbly personality - if someone happens on her, post her name. She not only helped us with the local region, a great breakfast place (Knox), she then showed us other areas in Ireland we should go based on where we... More

Disappointed the office was closed as we had hoped to get more information about the area, and especially regarding James Joyce since the tour was closed already, too.

Popped in here for some information and learned about the free walking tour of Sligo. We spent 90 minutes strolling around the town centre with Niamh and thoroughly enjoyed it.

We turned up at 11 am for a free tour of Sligo town. Our guide was very informative and brought us around the town pointing out areas of interest and local architectural points of interest. I usually consider anything that is free to be of little value but I was very surprised by the professionalism and know, edge portrayed by our... More

All the guides and leaflets for the local and not so local attractions are here. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable and can give you the information that the internet forgets or misses out. Pick up a free map of the town and some walking guides.

We used the tourist office for a complete run-through of charming Sligo and attractions all around the town. Truly helpful, friendly and very informative! The people at the tourist office gave us a tip about some musical venues and shops to visit. We took the advice, met a wonderful musician and had the pleasure of listening to him the same... More

The staff supplied a street map of Sligo with suggestions of places to visit. Very friendly and conveniently located in the town.

I visited the Tourist Office last week and the staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. We were given a map with the shortest route marked to where we wanted to go. Excellent service.

As we were there during holidays and end of season, many opportunities were not available. Ashlyn suggested a private tour with a cab company owned by Paul. Tina was our driver and the three of us had a five hour tour of the area for a decent price. We would recommend you think about this possibility and check it out.... More

The information centre was very informative and the lady who worked there was extremely helpful and friendly and gave us great advice on what to do for the day. However the building itself is very poorly signposted and we were driving around in circles for about 20 minutes unable to locate it, despite it being right on the main street.
