Lovely tour around the house, with interesting historical facts and unique treasures (flock of hair from Napoleon taken when he was on his death bed, very famous painting of Waterford in the 1736, the oldest crystal object in the world). Derek was entertaining and he managed to make the experience very special! Thank you, Michaela

Lovely building with interesting historical artefacts and facts such as napoleons sister being married to one of the wyse family of Waterford - apparently she wasn't the most faithful ! The ground and first floors are modelled on an 18th century town house . There's a handy cafe on the ground floor also . If you're up for it you... More

Again another must if you are in Waterford. If you can get Derek as your tour guide you are going to have some laugh. It's like he is best pals with all the Kings in the pictures. Such opulence on display, really shows what the Georgian period was like in Waterford. Great display of original paintings, furniture and Waterford Crystal... More

This beautiful building was a wonderful look into the way the very upper class lived in the earlier times of Waterford. The furnishings are incredible and the amazing art and artifacts are awesome, including the oldest know Waterford crystal. I highly recommend this peek into history on your visit to Waterford.

Following a visit to Waterford Crystal, like many tourists my party crossed the road to visit this museum. The artefacts inside were poor, bordering on boring. Was very much as if someone had trawled through a charity shop in an attempt to find items of interest. Saw more Staffordshire pottery in this museum than Waterford / Irish items. The section...
