It;s a great outing for energetic nature lovers. Good for tiring out energetic young people. Bring a picnic and first aid kit!

the comeragh drive is a lovely senic route that will bring you close to the comeragh mountains with walks of easy to difficult levels.

From the rocky outcrops to Coumshingaun Lake and taking in the Mahon Falls, the views speak for themselves...no words are necessary. A hiker's paradise.

Entry is currently free, which is always an attraction for an OPW site. the lady on the front desk was very helpful and informative. We had the castle to ourselves the whole visit, the highlight was going up the tower reading all about the history....More

Oh! How beautiful it is to take a ramble on the Comeragh Drive. With the lovely Comeragh Mountains surrounding you, the colourful heathers and last but not least gorgeous waterfall. This is a place to be on a nice day. I love to come here...More

Go up here & play on the road near the 'fairy tree' where you can 'roll backwards uphill!', visit Mahon falls & take photographs of beautiful scenery you will find hard to beat, You can see for miles across Co Waterford & out to sea.

Beautiful drive & countryside, very little traffic the day we took the drive, but it was fabulous... a visit to Mahon Falls is a must, try out the magic road on your exit from the falls park by the "fairy tree" & release your handbrake...More
