A beautiful scenic drive in the south east taking you trough the Coverage mountains, It's has different things to offer at different times of the year, from snow capped mountains to a carpet of purple heather during summer. it almost unspoiled and sheep seem to wander free range over this rugged landscape. not much in the way of commercialism here,... If you want the authentic wild mountain experience without the long long trek, the Comeraghs is the place to go. You can drive to a car park in the mountains then take a leisurely stroll to the Mahon Falls. Spectacular place. For serious mountain climbers there are lots of challenging climbs nearby. And when you are finished here, a short... More

Best done on a clear day. Don't be in a hurry roads twisting and turning so chill and take your time and take in the great scenery and views. Mahon falls and the lake lovely spots for strolls and a picnic. Bring your camera. Pass through some lovely quaint villages in West Waterford. A must do if touring in Waterford... More

The drive gives you a glimpse of rural Waterford. Beautiful. The scenery is varied and one can stop at a car park and walk and enjoy the mountain air and views over the countryside!

We have done this drive many times and the scenery is amazing. Looks different each time because of the ever changing weather. You must try out the magic road near Mahon falls. If you stop at the lone tree decorated with ribbons on your left hand side, switch off your engine and release the handbrake your car will go backwards... More

Prior to leaving Waterford, my wife and I picked up a couple sandwiches, chips, and a little candy. On the drive to the trailhead, we stopped along magic hill by the fairy trees and our car did indeed slowly roll backwards up hill. Pretty cool. It was a really easy hike to the base of the falls offering great views... More
