This is a truly unique experience. We set sail in early summer on a beautiful evening and sailed the estuary as far as Ballyhack in Co. Wexford. It was such a relaxing and carefree evening in the company of the friendly experienced crew. One of Waterford's best kept secrets.

We booked the olive tree tapas tour on the boat . The trip and food were amazing . This was a fantastic way to float down river with fantastic staff/food and wine . Well worth the price . Hopefully they will start doing this full time next summer as it was a great evening .

We found this by accident whilst browsing leaflets at the hotel. We were attracted by the fact it offered the three rivers in the Waterford estuary, The three sister: the Nore, Suir, & Barrow and it was aboard a traditional rigged sailing ship. I rang to book and John said he needed to have at least 6 people interested to make it viable so he would check other people on his waiting list and ring back which he did. In fact there were about 14 people in the end, there was plenty of room. We boarded opposite the Tower Hotel in the Viking Triangle and returned 2 3/4 hours later having had a a wonderful time cruising the rivers and also experiencing some sailing. It was so peaceful and relaxing and experience the lovely countryside. Passengers were given the opportunity to steer (under supervision) and take photos. John and his daughter were really friendly and very knowledgeable, giving us an insight to the local area, people, history and wildlife. Tea and coffee were provided. I really appreciated John's own coffee which he had ground himself. Apparently he does a great evening tour to a riverside restaurant to eat and have a few bevvies before sailing back to Waterford unfortunately we didn't have enough time in waterford

I had seen this boat trip on RTE Nationwide-I organise a family trip every year so this took my interest-everything was streamlined about it-so easy to book-we went for the 11 a.m. trip and the day was beautiful-the commentary was just brilliant - there were about 10 of us on the day - 3 from our party & 7 from the other which included children. John & Victor are just super- the amount of information given on the trip - I certainly learnt an awful lot and there is also the opportunity to put up the sails - trip about 2 hours - a trip I could not recommend enough - well done to all

An excellent motor/sail trip from Waterford City down this historic waterway/port to the estuary. These same waters have carried everyone from the Vikeings to the present day Cargo and Cruise Ships to the City. You will travel in comfort in the care of the very experienced crew, men who have lived and worked these waters most of their lives. Ideal for all ages, our group consisted of a number of 80 and 90 year olds. Book it, you'll love it.
