Description:

There is something for everybody at Ferry Meadows.

Imagine somewhere...

There is something for everybody at Ferry Meadows.

Imagine somewhere beautiful, safe and unspoilt where you can walk, cycle, play, horse-ride, ride a train, go fishing, exercise the dog, jog, push the buggy and explore endless meadows, lakes and woodland all less than three miles from Peterborough's busy city centre.

We also offer three play areas catering for different ages and an events programme throughout the year with lots of activities for children.

If all of this isn't enough to keep you entertained the Visitor Centre stocks a wide range of toys and games along with gifts, souvenirs and sweet treats.

After all this activity you can relax at one of our cafes, find a nice spot for a picnic or fire up on one of our barbecue stands.

New for 2014:

On 11 April Lakeside at Ferry Meadows will open its doors to Park visitors. Lakeside provides a hub for activity and relaxation within Ferry Meadows as the home for Nene Outdoors, a new watersports and outdoor activity venture and Lakeside Kitchen & Bar, a contemporary dining and function venue.

A new and exciting play area is set to open in early April. Aimed at younger children the new Otter playground will provide an exciting play space to explore and enjoy.

I could walk around the quiet parts of Ferry Meadows for hours & often do. I like to get away from where the play equipment & kids noise is & that is where you find the wildlife. The wildlife if you stop to look for it is fantastic. Have got some amazing pictures of kingfishers, herons and various other birds... More

I used to regularly walk around ferry meadows , but parking charges were introduced for disabled visitors means that it is no longer an option. What was a weekday walk is now an occasional treat.

Lovely walk around the lake to take in views and fresh air. Very popular even during term time week. Parking fees a bit steep! Nice play areas

Did a lap of the park whilst out for a run, plenty of trails and footpaths to follow around the edge of the main body of water. Very picturesque and the place seemed to be very well maintained, free of litter etc. Wildlife/walks for the adults and play areas for the younger ones, beautiful on a sunny day..

Lovely Park but how many users have had parking fines from Park with ease? I suggest you use a card as machine does not give a receipt so no proof of payment! My registration did not completely register and I was told I choose to put the wrong number!! Intrested if im a one off????

This is a large park, the kids can ride their bikes, scoot or just run around, there are 3 big play areas for younger children to climb and swing. It also has a Water activity area where you can canoe etc. Two lovely cafes with friendly staff. A small gift shop. This park is good for runners who run around... More

If you'd like somewhere to walk in the most wonderful surroundings Ferry Meadows is the place to go. Wild life, beautiful trees, lakes, and a great cup of coffee. I walk my dog everyday, winter and summer and find something different to look at every day. We are very fortunate to have such a great country park in this area.
