This is a fun thing to do, walking the llamas like big dogs and seeing the countryside at the same time. The 'speed dating' session that happens before the walk is just a bit of froth, and I think the true personalities of the individual llamas are only apparent to Suzanne, Sarah and the other staff. Our llama, Chester, is... More

Thank you so much for your review, we are so pleased you had an enjoyable time with Chester, he can be very greedy! I 'm sorry you didn't feel that Chester had much of a personality, he is a very well behaved llama and generally a favorite with all who meet and trek with him. Those eye brows being so... More

We arrived today to a very warm welcome from Suzanne not knowing what to expect but had a great morning. Firstly we were introduced to all the Llama and alpacas that were in the barn and were briefed on health and safety etc before being matched with Tobie who we instantly bonded with - he was so cute but could... Was given a Llama trek for two for my 30th and it was such a great present! The whole experience is wonderful, with Llama/Alpaca speed dating initally to match you to the most appropriate animal for your walk, followed by a few hours trekking through the gorgeous countryside with your new friend. Our alpaca was generally wel behaved and gave... More

The talk at the beginning went on for quite a while, as an adult I was getting fidgety I can't imagine how the younger members of the group were feeling! We were matched with llamas/alpacas based on personalities and had a lovely scenic walk. Very good idea for a unique present or a couples day out!

Llamas are incredible creatures, at once docile and also fiercely protective. As an introduction to Llmas this is a really wonderful place.

We expected the trek to be cancelled anytime due to torrential rain and snow on the moors up the road but NO! Nidderdale's friendly staff met us with such enthusiasm and we and the other 2 ladies on that day's trek were more than game to go out and get soaked with our new furry friends.Granted, we spent a little... We booked the Interactive Experience and we are so glad we did! It was the perfect amount of time getting to know the llamas/alpacas compared to the actual walking - we aren't big on exercise! It's about 2 hours in total, with a 45 minute walk. Our pairings were excellent - I got a cute little fluffy alpaca and my... More

Wasn't sure what to expect when I booked this for my husband's birthday but we absolutely loved it. The staff are really knowledgeable about the llamas, the llamas have such distinct personalities and are wonderful to walk with and the area is beautiful. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
