Wonderful place to visit, it takes several hours in order to see all the place. The crypt, the tower and the bells room can be visited with an escort/guide. Several marble statues representing different histories connected to the building or to the city. Totally deserves a visit.

While we had visitors from America we thought we would show them some of our local history. And Gloucester cathedral was a great success. Our friends were thrilled with our choice and thought the cathedral was amazing. They have travelled well and considered the visit a top visit to do. Very well recommended.

After visiting the Quays and GrillShed for lunch we took our guests over to the Cathedral. They loved the whole experience. Wonderful architecture and history

We stumbled across the cathedral by surprise and a very nice one. Inside was filled with historical information pictures, information and wonderful architecture.Peoples remains were actually buried there. you could actually spend hours reading and taking in the many wonders inside.

Must see for Harry Potter fans! Visited with friend who is mad about HP films and she was over the moon to see this place and relate places back to scenes from the films!

Gloucester is a nice place to visit and the cathedral is a beauty! It's free to enter and wander round...the cloisters are particularly impressive and the stained glass windows are lovely. You can pay £3 for a guided tour of the crypt by an enthusiastic volunteer guide and it's well worth it. Really enjoyable.

The cathedral is stunning and the architecture is amazing. It is undergoing repairs at the moment and they are creating new areas to sit on the outside of the cathedral. It is free to go in but they do ask for donations, no pressure or hassle though. There is a tower which they do make a small charge for. You... More

Well worth visiting multiple times. It is hard to fully comprehend the amount of work, skill and talent that has gone into creating this building especially considering the tools and communications and transport of those days. It is well maintained and is well worth the donation they request. It is optional but well worth it. There is a little shop... More

Visited the cathedral earlier on this month and I am pleased to admit that I was just blown away by the beauty of the cathedral. Every single stone in the cathedral tells a story, soon as I walked in I was blown away by the architecture. Excited to every single corner of the cathedral I walked around for hours, there... More
