A fantastic building in the heart of the city. A fascinating buildin to walk round especially with a guide who can make the building come alive again. Gloucester are very fortunate that this building has survived so well from the Dominican monks of the 13...More

This ruined priory is very well preserved and looked after. It is is in the hands of English Heritage and they manage it very well. Apparently if you are thinking of getting married it would be a really cool place in which to do it.

Despite the information board stating the priory was open it was shut so we had to make do with a look around the outside from the road. Looked well preserved and we would have loved to look inside. Maybe next visit????

I was pleased that I could wander around this English Heritage site and imagine its grandeur in its day. Sadly very little information vailable, but there are toilets and cafe there, in the more modern building.

Building is historic but with modern conveniences but was not very warm , meal was delayed an hour and PA system for speeches wholly inadequate .

Go check out Blackfriars, one of Gloucester's best kept secrets! Sympathetic renovation to let in natural light. Read the history of the Priory and check out events that take place there!
