We went in there for a coffee and a piece of cake which was really reasonably priced. They do a tour of the tour but not suitable for people with disabilities. There is a disabled toilet available. There is also a small museum in there.

Gloucester is a fascinating city - it does not have the fame of other medieval cities such as York, Canterbury and Lincoln, but it has a long history and you can see remnants of its former prosperity as you walk through the city. The cathedral is stunning and there are many historic buildings to be discovered as you walk through the city, from a time when people took pride in their buildings. Sadly, more modern architecture including the post-war shopping centres, office blocks and the new police HQ has not been kind to Gloucester. St Michael's Tower was not open when we explored the city on a cold February Monday, but it was good to see that such a historic building was being preserved in a sea of 20th century redevelopment.…

Popped in during our visit, friendly staff but did not offer any advice as to what to see or where to go. Intersting videos on a wall but no where to sit and watch them, told a brief back ground into what the building was and why it is no longer a church but nothing else to actually see of the building and no ability to visit higher up inside the tower itself .…

This Tower which is run by the Gloucester Civic trust is an historic building which performs a function in advising visitors about what to see in Gloucester and also organises walking tours of historic sites each day at 11.00 am. Staff are very helpful and knowledgeable. They also sell tea and coffee.…
