Brought friends who had not visited before and they were very happy with the walk. Two and a half miles is a perfect distance for me nowerdays!! And on the flat (in the main). Just the job.

Living close by is a real bonus. Lovely evening or weekend walk. Not idea with a wheelchair. Easier with a pram although there is still a steep up and down hill to tackle.

Nice long walk around this reservoir. It isn't possible to walk over the dam of the reservoir but aside from this you can walk close to the water. There are toilets and a cafe near the Bradshaw side of the reservoir.

An amazing area to take a stroll around one of, or all three well maintained reservoirs dependant on how long you have available. Spectacular scenery. Plenty of room for cyclist. Walkers would be advised to wear boot some description when its rained due to mud.

Pleasant easy walk, good access, parking and a coffee available after the walk. Good viewing points and seating available if you wish to stop to take photos across the water.

I agree, not really the place for a BBQ. A picnic would be ok but we use the little cafe near the car park.

I believe a skeleton bus service passes the top of the jumbles. You could ring Bury / Bolton bus station for details of buses Good luck
