This is a very interesting little Museum which lends itself to the romantic age of travel. I have been to other carriage museums where all the carriages have been restored to bright and shining but in this museum, they are completely original. It is a...More

Visited the museum in May 2017 with 2 small kids (4yo and 1yo). It was a nice experience, with lots of old carriages in which we could see with a torchlight (placed at visitors' disposal in the museum). To our surprise, the kids didn't get...More

A carriage museum? Our son said "It's boring". No it isn't. Carriages are lovely, with a great sense of history. It isn't big but the better for it. Go and immerse yourself in yesteryear. You will not be disappointed

A mere £2 per adult entry & so much history! I must admit to not being that interested when I went in (the other half wanted to go) but with the expert help of the Man at the desk (David?) it was absolutely fascinating! He...More

Excellent Civic museum with something for everyone. A number of different galleries, with some interesting History of the local area. Expect to spend at least an hour looking round, but 2 to 3 hours to see it all properly.
