Great Play Area for over 5's

Took our little ones here - too young for the play area but very good for over fives with zip wire and slides.

This park is right on my doorstep and I use it now and then. Good points: Great play areas for all ages, even adults! The aylesford to Maidstone attraction boat stops at the park. Has a good skate park. Plenty of space to run and walk your dogs. Very quiet. Bad points: Parking is limited to 30mins. Toilets are disgusting... More

I stumbled upon this park whilst going to the gym and am so glad as now I often visited with the grandchildren and dog. Its huge with different play areas for different age children with added bonus of the river running along side it. Ideal for picnics and could definitely spend the whole day there.

Really nice. Used to go here all the time as I worked over the road. Can sit by the river & have some lunch. Park is good too, one big park for older kids & then a little one for toddlers with a sand pit, which has not got enough sand in typically. Beautiful to walk round, only takes about... More

This park is nice and big and hosts a number of events throughout the year. It is also just nice for a walk around on a sunny afternoon as I usually do. There is a younger children's play area and an older seperate play area. The only thing there isn't in this park is some sort of food outlet.

I take my children to whatman park occasionally as a day out. There are two play areas: one for smaller children (under 5) and one for bigger children. There is a skate park for teenagers - although this is currently being refurbished - and a treetop bridge - again not in full use as its half broken. There is a... More

Firstly,my daughter loves it,but like other reviews said, there are drug addict teenageers hanging around and it is not healthy for the youngsters to perceive this type of behaviour as normal...later on they will adopt it just because is something they are used to.Maybe police should focus more on this. The other issue would be the muddy playground...it could be covered with... A good park but has a bad reputation locally as an area where drug users and other undesirables gather.Probably due to the lack of access by car. It has no car park and can only be accessed on foot.

As in the heading this is my local park. We often walk down to Allington Lock and they over the first bridge into the park. It has been the subject of vandalism off and on but that is being sorted out. Very good for family visits.

This park is just a few minutes walk from our daughters house. So when grandma and granddad visit, it is a great place to take the children. There are 2 play areas for the children. One for tiny tots, which includes swings and a sand pit. The other is for older children and includes climbing frames and slides. But the... More
