We happened to go when evensong preparations were being made. It is a beautiful Abbey with very interesting history and architecture. Worth a look even if you are not into history as it is quite stunning.

Tewkesbury Abbey is a must visit if you are in the area. The interior and exterior are quite stunning and well preserved. High vaulted painted ceilings, massive columns, magnificent stained glass windows all contribute to the grandeur. Take time to browse the historic information throughout....More

Lovely place with plenty of history and nice grounds, it's larger than I thought and well preserved when you consider the regular flooding.

Well worth a visit this Abbey is absolutely beautiful and full of historical and beautiful things and you can listen to the choir practise if your lucky to be there before evensong as we were finished the day off nicely

A charming abbey ...... definitely worth a visit if you are in the area. We found some interesting information regarding the history of the Abbey and the gardens were pleasant as it was a sunny afternoon !

Lovely place, one of the very best ecclesiastical buildings we’ve ever visited in this country, and we've seen a lot. We actually visited it twice on consequetive days, the first visit was in the evening whilst a choral rehearsal was in progress. Magic, absolutely magic....More

900 years of worship. Amazing building inside and out. I would most certainly recommend a visit. You won't be disappointed.
