We had a lovely family day out here in the summer. The kids loved seeing the animals and playing on the ‘beach’. The Caribbean food and music were lovely too. The facilities needed a bit of an update - especially the baby changing facilities.

Fabulous place to while away an hour or two. Lovely metal animals in realistic surroundings, plenty of plants on offer, a shop selling authentic African goods and, best of all, a lovely cafe. It was bitterly cold on the day I visited but the cafe...More

I never usually leave reviews on these sites but I felt this deserved it, for all the wrong reasons unfortunately. I was recommended here by a few people who have eaten at the restaurant and so I thought we’d give it a try with some...More

This place is amazing. I was looking for canna lilies for a design project and their stock was stunning. I also got seduced into buying banana plants. The atmosphere is great and the quality of the plants is very high.

Love this place! Great for a summers day in the garden or an evening glass of wine and meal at the weekend.

I was taken to Akamba Garden Centre whilst visiting my daughter. What a surprise to find these amazing sculptures. Elephants, giraffes of all shapes and sizes, and other African animals too. A tiny taste of Africa in Solihull. There was a nice restaurant on site...More

My wife and I visited this venue for the Sunday 2 course buffet dinner. The grounds and restaurant are fascinating and provide a great atmosphere. The food was good, in particular the goat curry, but fairly limited and somewhat overpriced for cheap ingredients and basic...More

A hidden gem. Must visit. Akamba is amazing both during the day sat outside in then sun drinking coffee ad eating cake, or in the evening in the Cosy hut.

Best to just go in when you arrive. Unless you’re going on middle of day on weekends or kids holiday, it’s usually very available.
