Covering 26 acres of former industrial land, Black Country Living Museum is uniquely placed to tell the story of the creation of the world’s first industrial landscape. Over fifty authentic shops, houses and workshops have been carefully reconstructed to preserve the character of the region when its manufacturers bought worldwide fame to Black Country Towns. Take a trip on the tram to explore the canal-side village, where you can meet and chat to the costumed characters. Explore the underground mine and experience the authentic sights, sounds, smells and tastes from the past.

Ok, I know these type of experiences are geared towards children and we had none with us, but given we went out of half term, cannot imagine how busy it would be in the holidays! The site is set over a largish footprint, with the...More

We visit here every year with the school kids on a trip. Each time we come we have a great time. The children thoroughly enjoy it, we do as staff and the guides are fantastic.

Lovely place with actual Victorian houses and authentic life. People dressed in the clothes from the period and have lots of information about how people lived and worked back in that time. Kids love to see how things used to be and especially not having...More

We were only in Birmingham for a couple of days, back in the UK on a trip down memory lane, and we had plenty of targets. But once we'd been at the BCLM for a couple of hours, and learned that our tickets were valid...More

I did not notice anything in the immediate vicinity - it is on a busy road. You would need to get back in car and drive somewhere I would guess??!!
