Love our town hall and always like it more at christmas . The pop up stalls inside are always worth a look and theres a real buzz of Christmas excitement. Markets can get a bit over crowded at peak times during the day is the best time to visit .

I am split in my opinion on the christmas markets by the town hall. On the one hand, i love a lot of the food; macarons, fresh coconut macaroons, bratwurst, paella, cannoli...and loads of other european produce, all of which are good quality (i wouldnt bother with the fudge and sweet stalls you can get that anywhere really, my favourite... The crowds are getting out of control, I spent the whole time just trying to get out of the crowds. It is dangerous, and spoilt the whole experience for me . Something needs to be done about it, you can't even get to the stalls as you get stuck. It is such a shame, as I love the markets, as... More

We lived in Manchester for 8 years and never looked in here! As visitors after many moons we decided to call in and were astounded at the inside. Just look at the photos on the Town Hall website........and it's free! Staggering. Friends who live in Manchester often confess that they have never seen inside........ don't miss it.

Manchester Town Hall is an extraordinary Victorian gem. It hosts multiple civic and commercial events which are (in my experience) extremely good. The security staff can be a litle intimidating but I guess they are only doing their job. During the Christmas Pop Up season they seem to up their game and try to be more bouncers than guides. The... Absolutely lovely christmas markets infront of Town hall, during our visit of Manchester. A lot of small wooden shops with perfect traditional food and absolutely tasty IPA east india beer.

Visited with my partner and young daughter. The crowds were horrendous you couldn't move. You couldn't get to the stalls. People were pushing others out the way. People falling over. Arguments etc very badly. No health & safety in place at all. Awful. Never again.

We spent a day at the christmas market last week. It has a fantastic atmosphere and some of the stalls are fabulous. Although we visited mid week it was still very busy and could be a little claustrophobic in places. The hot chocolate with rum went down a treat and kept cold hands warm at £4 with a £2 refundable...
