The town hall sits on Albert square and is where the giant Santa sits during the Christmas market. The hall seemed to be closed to the public for the time being although I suppose the vast amount of people would probably become uncontrollable.

Well worth a visit both to see from the outside and the inside - a beautiful building and at the moment there is a huge Santa Claus at the front ready for the Manchester Xmas market which opens later on in November.

We booked a table for lunch and were not disappointed. Nice food in lovely surroundings, attentive service and very reasonable pricing. Made a change from the usual bars or cafes and would go back without hesitation!
