Excellent to experience the commitment of the volunteers in restoring this amazing Victorian building and piece of social history. Preservation and restoration of the stained glass, tiles and mosaics is to be commended. Lovely to see one of the swimming pools back in use. Looking forward to a repeat visit when the next phase of restoration is complete.

Attended our son's wedding here. As we are not from Manchester I was doubtful about holding it in a swimming baths...However, it was the best venue ever! There are three large swimming pool sized rooms, one boarded over as a dance room/eating, two open but very accessible to use. We used one for the ceremony, one with the bar for... More

A stunning architecturally beautiful building which is gradually being restored to its former glory. Lovely stained glass windows, magnificent wall tiles, pools which are filled on various occasions and the opportunity to take a guided tour (for a fee). There are various open days and heritage days, some of which give free entry plus craft and vintage fairs also often... More

We went on the first Sunday of the month when it's open from 11am. We paid for one of the tours as well which came to £7 each - well worth it. Our guide Ron was knowledgeable and entertaining. I loved how ornate the men's first class entrance was - beautiful mosaic floor and glazed tile balustrade. It's such a... More

Today i went on a tour around Victoria Baths, Manchester. I paid six pounds very overpriced I felt. The baths themselves are only partially renovated. This is understandable and acceptable in view of the fact that the project is short of money. However cleaning costs next to nothing! I was shocked and slightly annoyed that i paid six pounds to... We arrived last Wednesday at 3.05 p.m. having been told by the tourist information centre that the Baths would be open from 2 p.m. that day. We found our way from Manchester Piccadilly to the Baths using the no. 50 bus which was quite an achievement for 2 old ladies. All doors were closed but we didn't give up hope,... More

As a creaking 50 year old Victoria baths has a long history in my life starting most obviously in my formative years not from regular visits but because "Uncle Jack" (our neighbour - all your neighbours were Uncle or Auntie in those days) worked as an engineer there. Had occasion to visit him there but never ventured into the baths... More

Visited a vintage fair at this venue, very nice building and a good setting for the fair, entrance fee wasn't advertised and a bit of a surprise to pay to get into the venue for a vintage fair.

For people who like a bit of history, this is definitely a must see. Already from the outside the place looks very beautiful. I took part a guided tour, given by Richard, who told a lot of interesting information about the Victoria Baths and the plans for the future. I also had the pleasure of enjoying a choir, which was... What an amazing location to hold a Gin Festival The building is as you would imagine an old swimming baths, it still has the original tiles and changing cubicles, which are quite surreal when you're sitting in them having a Gin & Tonic. On arrival you are greeted by lovely young ladies who explain how the event works, issue you... More
