The O2 Apollo Manchester opened on August 29th 1938 and is one of the premier concert venues in England, with shows from every major rock, pop and comedy act on the touring circuit. The breadth of styles of events covers every market - the cutting edge of modern British music, through some of the biggest artists from overseas, popular comedy, and music for older generations. With both fully seated and part-standing formats, this versatile venue increases its footfall and presentations year on year. Art Deco in style, the Grade II listed building has been central to the British touring circuit for decades, attracting Best Venue nominations and patrons from across the globe.

It's tired and dated. Acoustically brilliant venue. The accommodation is in two tiers with good views everywhere but if you want to get close to the action the lower tier is for you. The sides of the upper tier also get you very close to...More

We visited recently to see Michael Bolton, we were seated in the front stalls and had a great view of the stage, were within walking distance of the toilet and bars. Cannot understand all the bad reviews, yes the place is a little tired but...More

Enjoyed the event we attended but the apollo is begging for a refurb. Massive queues for drinks and at the toilets. I'm not sure what the problem is with the floor but it was so sticky it pulled my shoe off, the floor was like...More

Went with a friend to see ub40. Fab concert but must say sound, especially by the speakers was just poor. Security behind barriers were very good and supplied people with ear plugs and water when necessary. Toilets were near, but unfortunately at end of evening...More

This was our second and last visit to this place. Never again. The place is old, tired, run down, inefficient. The drinks prices are ridiculous, £4.50 for a can of beer! That's if you can be bothered getting in the queue, which is horrendously long....More

Visited to see Dynamo show (which was AMAZING!) Venue good size, not too large so you still felt part of it rather than being a huge arena. Would definitely return despite distance from home.
