Due to air conditioning being faulty, we suffered the first half of a show in a hot, stuffy, airless auditorium.

Lovely oldy worldy theatre. Proper seats with personal space yet still cosey. Show was good with props, split stage and excellent dancing. Only downside was the wine bottle offer which was good but had to take skiffs into the show with remaining wine so 3 skiffs between 2 people. Not ideal at a sit down show aimed at the over... More

As a Christmas treat my friends and I decided to watch the panto 'Aladdin' - starring John Thomson and Sherrie Hewson. Upon arrival we were upgraded to better seating - big bonus! The building is very large with lots of stairs, a beautiful, classic theatre which is standing the test of time. The set was fantastic and the acoustics were... More

I have been to this Theatre twice before. Once to see a Pantomime and once to see Chicago this was the first time in the Stalls. I arrived with 5 minutes to spare due to a mix up with the bus's I didn't realise the bus's from Manchester Piccadilly were on diversion so should have got off sooner. The Staff... More

Saw the Crucible here at the weekend. The theatre is a wonderful building and we had a great afternoon. Booked the ambassador lounge experience which saves any queuing and is very good value. Staff all really good. The performance was captivating. Only down point was that the theatre was far from full and this isn't the theatres fault!!! We all... More

We had some free tickets and so myself, my wife and our son and Daughter aged 18 and 30 went. Staff were very friendly and helpful. As the tickets were general tickets the venue had not set aside any spaces for wheelchair users (which I am). They did however manage to sit two of us in a wheelchair space on... More

Bat Out Of Hell is a fantastic show although it seemed somewhat cramped on this stage. The theatre is an old theatre that has much character as well as small seats, although not the uncomfiest I've sat on! There are many stairs and visiting the toilets took some navigation. Great atmosphere.

Overall we had an entertaining experience from the show. It was creatively executed but the let down as from the sitting. It feels pretty steep to be sitting on the top rows so kind of keep you on the edge sometimes.

What a fantastic show We were on the back row of the gallery but still had an excellent view. They had screens to show the bits we couldn't see. The cast were fantastic and performed with so much energy. If you do book the gallery there are a lot of steps.

Went to see Bat out of Hell here OMG brilliant show. We had front row seats with limited view. When I say limited view we could not see anything. We asked some staff who said they could not say if we could move or not - so we were very disappointed. I sent an email to the opera house and... More
