Good day out but the lake needs cleaning. Stop feeding birds.

The park is lovely with hills and a big lake. But lots of rubbish in the lake made us upset. Hope that people can be more responsible.

ok, so lots of water means lots of critters so bug spray is a must. but it also means lots of ducks and these don't disappoint. geese and swans galore. great for picnics in summer. and firework displays in winter.

Now clearly everyone knows what a park consists of: trees, grass, maybe a playground, pond etc. Plattfields has all of this as well as a hill behind the pond. If you are trying to get away from fallowfield and pretend you're in the countryside, plattfields is the place for you! I was there tonight and standing up on that hill... More

I was walking around the park Saturday morning early with my dog, after taking my son back to uni Manchester the night before, there were lots of runners getting ready to take part in the weekly park run and another friendly lady informed me that BMF started at 12 noon. I finished the walk by walking around the lake and... More

This is a nice park. Dirty lake in the centre with accumulated rubbish from the last 6 months sitting in the corner. Nice to run around the paths and they hold the weekly Parkrun there which I frequent. On most days there will be drunks relaxing on the benches and on some occasions young people smoking cannabis on the various... More

I have lived nearby for two years. Apart from being so close to the busy Platt Lane, the park is very nice. You can go here to run or get involved in your favorite sport. It is open all day and all night.

I often stay in the Chancellors Hotel on the Manchester University Campus across the Wilmslow road, and use this park to get in a run before work. The paths are a mix of tarmac in good condition, and packed earth (dirt) which can get waterlogged in places. Loads of birdlife here, last run there, I saw, ducks, geese, herons, a... More

Platt fields park is my nearest park and I have been there many times. It's a lovely place. It's big enough to have plenty of space for everyone but not so big that it'll take days to get round it all. There is a lake where they have rowing boats in the summer. At least 3 play areas for kids.... More

i used to love and have very fond memories of this park as it where my dear mum used to take us as children, we used to buy a loaf and a little picknick and pop down to feed the ducks, on my last visit the so called "duck police" came over and said feeding the ducks bread is now... More
