Visited Saturday and just so much happening. Lots of planned activities for children and families and great to see so many families making the most of it. A great place and well worth a visit.

Just passed by outside the building along St. Peter’s Square. We took pictures in front of the building. Loved the building facade. We also enjoyed the city because of the gothic style and beautiful architectural design of the downtown city.

Lovely building, but, all the old historical atmosphere has disappeared.Replaced by computers in booths, etc, all modernised and nice and customer friendly...Ok I know it's me being old fashioned, but the interior of the new Central library left me cold..

Very impressive. It has a huge range of books very well organised. It's clean, inviting and full of life. There's a great computer cluster and helpful staff, not to mention the stunning architecture inside and out!

Hi, Yes we have the MEN on microfilm. It's on open access and can be viewed anytime, no need to book. It's in Archives+ on the ground floor, behind the cafe.

I think it depends on how far back you have already traced. The library has access to all the civil records which includes the Church of England but I dont think includes the Catholic or other non conformist churches. There... More
