A very nice naval base with a lot of history. Amazing how it is situated and constructed. The huge WW2 submarine bunker was amazig.

Really interesting tour of the naval base - the staff were very nice to us and did the tour in both French and English - thank you! Definitely recommended, one doesn't get to see this often

A well preserved Chateau dating back to Roman times. Great place if you are a history buff. Brest dates to 400BC. Center of ship building and exploration as well as WW11 German occupation. Really is a cool place.

The Maritime Museum is set in the renovated Brest Castle. It took me around 90 mins to get around, the area was interesting, with great views around the harbour. The films and exhibits were great to get a historic perspective on Brest, and the displays...More

I highly recommend touring this beautiful fort/museum; it is very well maintained and the exhibits are interesting; great photo-ops!
