Amazing place. Really interesting. Underground tour of about an hour, in French, - (the guide occasionally throws in an English phrase, but he speaks slowly and clearly, with great emphasis, so if you remember your schoolgirl French, you should be okay). A lot of stairs...More

The are only open for a few hours. We got there about noon and they would not open again until after 2pm. I think everyone takes a long lunch. We walked around all the outside grounds. The view from the top is amazing. Looking across...More

If you are interested in history and the second world war then this is a real treasure trove. It is an old bunker which was built to protect Saint Malo and is a large underground complex. Some areas are closed to the public. There is...More

We came on this almost by accident. We'd heard there was a "WW II Memorial" on le Cite, but here were bunkers, artifacts and quite a nice museum. Well worth visiting if in the area.

Arrived in early October for a visit to this huge world war two bunker complex, built on an earlier Napoleonic fort. Unfortunately the museum was closed (on a Monday), which although disappointing was my own fault for lack of prior research. However you are able...More
