Interesting!

What a find and completely unexpected in a little place like Beaune. One mans passion for Dali gives us the chance to enjoy his wonderful collection. There is a simple courtyard outside where a gorgeous statue takes centre stage. On a warm sunny day this must be a very pleasant place to sit awhile. I side there is a small... More

But you knew that before buying the ticket, yeah? The displays are well laid-out and the place is well-lit. The exterior is also worth a few minutes, as a place to sit outside and catch your breathe. The lights there change colour on a revolving scale each night. Place Monge is right out front, a shady respite itself, with 10... More

Anyone who likes the works of Dali will love this exhibition!! Intimately located off the place Monge in the heart of Beaune, an extraordinary collection has been assembled to demonstrate the versatility and variety of this artists far reaching imagination. A good deal of the exhibits were completely new to me. M Jean AMIOT has taken great pains to assemble... More

This is a small but comprehensive collection. I especially enjoyed seeing Dali's art outside of paintings. There is a lipstick couch, flatware, dishes, jewelry, watches, sculpture, etc. The impression is that Dali was an artist 24/7 and expressed himself in all things. Though small, I went through it several times, being delighted at every turn.

Not big, but quite interesting. That is, if you like the special character of Dali’s art. This private museum in Beaune is a “should see” attraction and if you are familiar with Dali’s art you will find some interesting things here. At 7 Euros it is worth the money and the small shop has quite a bit to offer too.... More

We are big Dali fans and members of the St Petersburg Dali Museum. We were surprised to come across find this interesting private collection. We went in with only 30 minutes to see the 200 pieces and could have spent much more time. I also would have liked to have better tuned in to the recording playing in the background... More

We happened upon this wonderful expo while wandering around Beaune on a rainy afternoon. Entrance costs 7 Euros a piece. Leave yourself a solid hour to visit the exhibition which is a private collection of a local man who sometimes is on hand to chat about his Dali obsession. There are drawings, paintings, sculptures, sketches, and even furniture (the Mae... More

We went first based on the hours listed on their website but it was closed. There were visitors arriving and dissipointed to discover the small sign listing 1400 - 1900. Came again at 1700 and again was among several looking to enter but it was closed. Shameful.

I was so pleasantly surprised to see a Dali museum in the center of Beaune. It was very unexpected but I love Dali, so I went in. It is great! The proprietor is a very interesting man who is passionate about his museum and so knowledgeable about all things Dali. I visited during a slower period and he told me... More
