Alex met us at our hotel and then he explained the day over coffee and scones in a local cafe. The trip to the market was the highlight of the day with Alex explaining about all the different seasonal and hand-made produce and chatting to all the stallholders. Back at his appartment, we watched as he prepared a three course... More

If you go to Dijon, you will kick yourself if you miss this gourmet outing and meal with Alex Miles. He's not only a wonderful cook, but he's a great host, a splendid raconteur and a knowledgeable guide to beautiful Dijon. Great fun, great food, great company!!

What a fun day!! Alex is just a treat-so friendly and knowledgeable! Fun to listen to, great to watch and no fingers were lost! But I'm getting ahead of myself. Starting the day with coffee and croissants and a mini-muffin was a nice way to get to know Alex and our group (there were 6 of us.). Then the market!... More

My wife and I spent a day in early June with Chef Miles. The entire day was great and I can not really add much to what has been said below. I did not expect to really learn any cooking tips, just have a great overall experience. I had the great experience, and actually learned several very useful tips. The... More

I was 1 of 4 people (2 couples) who recently spent 2 wks in France. 3 nights in Normandy, 2 in Loire, 3 in Dijon/Burgundy and 5 nights in Paris. Every day/night was interesting and memorable, but I think the most fun thing we did was spend a day with Alex. The day is well described in other reviews, so... More

We spent a day in Dijon with Alex. First stop the market to purchase the essentials for the meal we were going to prepare. What a way to begin our day. Alex knows all the vendors. He chatted with them and we were treated to samples. Explain actions were given by stand of why he patronizes them. Next we bought... More

We decided to take a cooking class to get a sense of the cuisine in Burgundy . We were staying in Beaune and wanted to visit Dijon so we signed up for Alex Miles' course. As with the other reviewers here, he met us at the Dijon train station (it was just my husband and me), took us for a... More

Our family of four, wanted to get a good feeling of a traditional French cooking experience. Alex met us at the train station in Dijon, after having driven for 2 hours from Lyon. We then proceeded to walk to the center of town where we enjoyed a nice cup of coffee and some pastries. Alex is not just a chef... More

Very good visit to the market which is beautiful. The stands with all the fruits and vegetable are great and all the butchers and charcuteries are tasty!

Thank Alex M
