This is the oldest church in Troyes and has a marvelous "jubée" which is a stone lace art piece. Certainly worth visiting

I won't repeat what other reviewers have said about this beautiful atmospheric church. Just to say, speak to the bearded guardian in his little glass booth. Despite our less than perfect French, he was just sooo nice and friendly and informative.

From the outside, this church is not imposing. But when you enter, you will see straight ahead why it is well worth a visit. Ste-Madeleine holds one of the last intact rood screen in the world and it is stunning. Rood screens, which the Catholic Church began removing in the 17th century, were elaborate iron, wood or marble constructions designed... More

This place was amazing. Intricate stonework. So beautiful to see the details that were carved in. Really peaceful place to go. A must in Troyes.

A beautiful church with superb stone carved gallery. A real work of art. Helpful information in both French and English. Also a gem of a garden themed white. A must see in Troyes.

A must visit if you are in Troyes, the entrance tucked-away in an alley. The interior is impressive and some of parts of this church are going way back. There are some great detailed objects to look at.

Nice church with beautiful glass windows. Make sure to visit well before 12:30, as at that time the gatekeeper kicks everybody out to allow to go for lunch....

The Church of Sainte-Madeleine in Old Troyes is one of my favorite churches in all of France. It is a lovely three-aisled church principally renowned for its Flamboyant choir screen and magnificent sixteenth-century stained-glass windows, among the most accessible and dramatic windows in France. The Genesis window vividly portrays scenes of the Creation. The Tree of Jesse (Genealogy of Christ)... More
