This is an innovative pool on a barge in the Seine. It is a bit of a trek from the nearest metro station but a lovely way to spend a couple of hours. It can get busy, especially in the August Parisian weather so we went mid morning on a Sunday. The main pool can get busy but there are... More

What an amazing experience! I'm a regular swimmer and absolutely loved this place. 3,60 e entry fee and a swimming cap is mandatory (tip: a store called GoSport in Les Halles has a great and CHEAP selection of swim suits/caps/goggles if you don't travel with them ; swim caps may be sold out at the Piscine cashier if you go... This is quite difficult to find from the metro. We went on a dry warm day. I wanted to spectate, however I was told I'd need a bathing suite to do so. Luckily I had come prepared. Also had to purchase two swim caps (3€ each) although I knew this before arriving. Entry 4€ each swimmer. We all got changed... More

Great place to enjoy a swim whilst in Paris. In summer the roof is opened making it perfect for sunbathing as well.

A swimming-pool on (or should I say "upon") the river Seine... tempting. The problem is that the pool is tiny, and so overcrowded that it is almost impossible to swim without bumping into someone else every 5 seconds. And really, it is expensive for what is is (after two hours you have to pay again). Oh and be ready to... More

I went to the Josephine Baker pool in July on a very hot afternoon and it was amazing. It was worth waithing (longer then 1 hr!, but there is some sun protection). The entrance fee was 5 euro for 2 hrs. Be aware of the fact that you have to wear a swiming cap (they are also for sale in... More

Took my son to this pool to get in some training time but it was too hectic to really do anything. The pool itself is very small and crowded. It is also very difficult to get to via Metro. The closest station requires a pretty good walk through the park to get to the pool. If you are out for... More

Training for an Ironman while on business abroad may sound like a nightmare to any triathlete, but in Paris it is super easy and extremely interesting. There are many public swimming pools, mostly located conveniently close to metro stations and with small entry fees. The Josephine Baker pool is an experience. Quite small but really well maintained and run this... More
