Neighbourhood: Tour Eiffel / Invalides
With the Eiffel Tower at its core, the Invalides area of Paris is guaranteed to impress. Golden towers and Baron Haussmann's urban vision meet military precision, stretching avenues, and luscious lawns. The area boasts the Musée D’Orsay, the tomb of Napoleon, the National Parliament and UNESCO, as well as luxurious, exclusive residences. In fine restaurants and at the weekend markets, families, diplomats, and politicians brush shoulders with the tourists who come to see this postcard-perfect area for themselves.

Magical place
Oct 2019
This was a really beautiful place, one of the hidden secrets of Paris. I have visited this many times because I lived near-by and an early afternoon when tis is not so crowded is really nice. Otherwise during specific times you meet a lot of people. The quartier is quite silent but take a metro there and then have a dinner elsewhere.

The rmains of St. Louise and her altar were my main reason for attending. Louise was a rmarkable woman and the pattroness of social workers. She with Vincent de Paul founded the Daughters of Charity and revolutionuzed care of abandoned children.

Overlooked beauty
Dec 2019
This Chapelle although in the very city center is mostly overlooked by tourists. It's in a less visited area, on a half way from Luxembourg palace to Invalides military museum if walking.
Despite this was my 8th visit to Paris, I was in it for the first time. The Church is pretty small, but the interior is very decorated. It's dedicated to Virgin Mary who appeared to St. Catherine Labour (lying in her glass coffin) there and it's a pilgrimage site, so Mass times are pretty crowded.

Beautiful
Dec 2019
Located close to Bon Marche supermarket which is the best landmark to give a taxi driver, the Chapel of the Miraculous Medal is a beautiful location which is very heavenly. Please check the opening hours to avoid the Church being closed or too busy. Mass times are particularly busy. The body of St Catherine is located at the top of the Church to the right of the main altar, to the right of St Catherine Laboure's tomb is the seat which is cornered off that Our Lady sat upon when St Catherine had her vision. The statue of Saint Vincent De Paul is behind the chair. (Please note the body of St Vincent de Paul is buried within walking distance from Rue de Bac). Mass is lovely but I also loved to sit in the Church and pray. There are some locals though who seems to sit in the Church all day. There is a gift shop on the way into the Church and this has lots of lovely souvenirs which you can purchase. Also to mention the body of St Louise de Marillac who is the co-founder of the Daughters of Charity is buried to the left of the Altar. I found this Church to be beautiful, heavenly and I will definitely return to see St Catherine Laboure. Please visit this beautiful location

For the faithful
Dec 2019
This has been renovated. Very obviously a place of prayer, many people coming in for a few minutes, not a busy tourist spot. A shop for more information and souvenirs.

What an unexpected treasure. Found out about this site online a few days before we traveled and thought we could go by as we had time. So glad we found it -- it was beautiful in it appearance and in spirit.

Beautiful Chapel
Oct 2019
I have wanted to come here for years and my family and I thoroughly enjoyed the visit and the chance to enjoy serene atmosphere in the church and beautiful sculpture and art ,I would recommend that visitors go into the gift shop first to obtain the little book telling you about the chapel and Our Lady’ visitations to Saint Catherine Laboure’ and the great work of Saint Louise de Marillac and also Saint Vincent DePaul.
