Beautiful Park, but has a restricted access!

The Park is great, beautiful to admire the tower and snap a pic. The only problem I saw is the first gardens has been blocked from entrance. So you have to go all the way to the... read more

Have only visited the place once, mostly due to a seeming 'hive' of the so called souvenir vendors trying to peddle cheap Eiffel tower chachkies whether you want any or not. Otherwise, great and changing view of the tower and the beautiful park.

Beautiful park, good to take the family, since there are lots of toys for children. It can be seen from the top of the Eiffel Tower too.

This very large park is wonderful for children to run and play in, and for tourists is the BEST place to get photos of the Eiffel Tower without being hounded by the illegal street sellers or frankly other tourists who are trying to do the same thing you are - get that perfect shot. It's a lovely large green space... More

The Park is great, beautiful to admire the tower and snap a pic. The only problem I saw is the first gardens has been blocked from entrance. So you have to go all the way to the far side to enter the gardens, and have a nice time in them.

A historical landmark, keeping the secret of past battles, is today the playground for the local Parisians. The carousel and live pony-rides, as well as the 120 year old horse race, still pushed by man power, the pedal race car track and the playgrounds for very young, and slightly older, makes this THE place for children to be on a... The Champs de Mars was designed as parade grounds for the French Army and dates back to the mid 1700s. On one end, it has the Military School, at the other, the Eiffel tower. It is nicely kept with well-manicured lawns, flower beds and trees and provides ample space for visitors to stroll, have a picnic and enjoy a nice... More

View of Eiffel tower is fantastic. At night once every hour there is a light show that you must see. Area around Eiffel tower is crowded with illegal sellers and has an mix of atmosphere of ghetto and torist area. Not very relaxing.

When in Paris, the Parc du Champ de Mars is an absolute must-see. Not only do can you get a picture perfect view of the Eiffel Tower, but the view of the Parc from the top of the tower is also as beautiful a view as there is in the city. I recommend starting at the back of the Champ... More
