The rodin museum in rome is a beautiful mmurum in an easy to gett to location with bus or metro . We were 5 adults with a 9 month old baby in a stroller. One of the adults needed a wheelchair. When we entered the lobby, a very professional worker approached us and explained that strollers are NOT permitted in... More

The thinker sits in front of the entrance to this museum. It is a world famous sculpture. You walk through the mansion and gaze upon magnificent works of art. But, when you get to the garden, you have reached Nirvana. There are incredible large sculptures strewn about that back area. You walk from one to the other and wonder. You... More

Excellent facility and the statues are just a small part of it. I am not a real art lover but my partner is so I sort of had my arm twisted. But how glad I was, we had an excellent afternoon here and was enlightened to see all of Rodins works both in Mable, Bronze and on Canvas.

Indeed, 2 hours are just barely enough to appreciate the fine details of each sculpture and the fantastic stories behind the sculpture. 'Le penseur', 'The Kiss', 'The Gates of Hell', just to name a few of his masterpieces. Apart from the legacy of Rodin, the art works of his student and lover, Camille Claudel are displayed in this museum as... More

We always go to the Musee Rodin when we are in Paris. It is tucked away near the embassies and from the garden you get a lovely view of the Invalides as well as a good look at the Thinker among others. This time a lot of the garden was taken up with a big tent ( Rodin's centenary coming... More

One walks through the museum seeing human forms exiting with passion from blocks of marble or bronze. The grounds (a former Hotel where Rodin stayed) are amazing with statues, trees, flowers, and paths that lead you to new discoveries. I admit, however, that a majority of the works were summed up in the "Door to Hell" that was commissioned by... More
