A trip to Paris is never complete without a stop at this shop. And I always take home cheese from here because they wrap it up so nicely for the ride on the plane. When I eat a Cantin cheese, it is more than cheese. It is history, tradition, and culture. It is France!

France is unarguably the home of some of world's best cheeses, and at Marie-Anne Cantin you have the opportunity to savour the best of the crop. The selection is wonderful were you can buy from expertly matured Comté cheeses, beautifully textured goat cheese to a heavenly soft cheese, delicately flavoured with black truffle, Le Truffé de la Marne. They do... More

Just came back from Paris-London trip, and I'm already searching for flight to go back to London. I don't speak French, so shame on me. I knew about this place from Japanese bloggers' site, with their good reviews I planned to visit. I don't know any other cheese only shop, I mean, think about it, the entire place is covered... My sister and I stopped by to pick up some classic french cheese or as we call it stinky cheese :) We wanted to try it while in Paris. The service was excellent, Marie-Anne was very patient with our lack of French and helped us pick out a nice cheese to pair with red wine. Overall great shop.

This is our go to cheese shop whenever in Paris. Small shop with a great selection and helpful recommendations. My only problem is that I tend to over buy! Friendly service, if they are busy, be patient they will take their time helping everyone. Be sure to pick up some wine from any shop in the area & enjoy the... More

On a recent trip to Paris I only had time for a very quick look through this shop. It was quite busy, had there been no other customers I would have bought a couple of the cheeses but I didn't have time to wait. I am not being critical, it was great that the other customers were getting good service... More

Bought cheese for travel. The choices were amazing, we went with aged Comte, salers, cantal, Beaufort , chèvre, Brie de maud, pont leveque.... Got to taste most of the hard cheeses. We asked for vacum packing as we were traveling to Haiti with the cheeses. I for safety measure has also ziploc vacum bags. My plane got delayed for two... More

This shop was highly recommended by seversl other cheesemongers from the US. Everything from Epoisses to 4 year old Comte. Wonderful, friendly help from Marie-Anne and the most delicious nibbles for our last night in Paris.
