Bastille is one of the most gorgeous and exciting districts in Paris! We lived quite close to Place d'Aligre, and our host recommended us to visit the market there. We definitely didn't regret it! The cheeses, the meats and the pastries in the indoors area looked and smelled delicious, and, as we found out later, they tasted as good, too!... More

When in Paris on Saturday I spend my day going to the flea markets and antique markets. This time was my first visit to Place d'Aligre metro Ladru Rollin. I had to ask for directions to help me find it from the metro. It is half flea market antiques and half clothing and produce. I found several bargains and was... More

A friend recommended this market as a good example of those around Paris. We had a great time strolling among the indoor shops, outdoor stalls and flea market on a Sunday morning. We found some good souvenirs to bring home, as well as tempting cheeses, bread and vegetables. The fish shops looked good, too - with fresh oysters you could... More

Just got back from my sixth trip to Paris. I wanted something different to do, and I found the wonderful market at Place d'Aligre. I can't believe I'd never heard of it. It was bustling, but not packed. Just looking at the beautiful produce and flowers was entertaining, but of course we also managed to buy some snacks and a... More

Staying in Paris for a week and having a fully equipped appartment, I found the info on TA for the Marché on Place d'Aligre. We took a nice walk and were glad to find the spot absolutely filled with stalls offering everything one could look for to stock up on fruits, veggies and more! It is fun to walk through... More

This place was a pleasant surprise. The Sunday morning market is overwhelming. So many kinds of fruits, vegetables, nationalities, etc. There are a few nice restaurant in the area. Not one of the famous highlights, but certainly a spot to breath something of the real Paris
