Salvador Dali, the master of surrealism in Paris! Espace Dali, located in the heart of the famous artists' village, Montmartre, exhibits the largest collection of artworks by Salvador Dali in France. Dali as you have never seen before! The collection is the fruit of the emblematic surrealist artist's extravagant inspiration: theatrical sculptures, erotic, dreamlike or irresistibly humorous engravings, poetic objects and furniture, are all part of the phantasmagorical universe of the inventor of soft watches. The multiple facets of the Catalan Master 3D Surrealism Thanks to Dali, everything can be transformed by the magic of dreams: the Space Elephant with spindly legs seems to defy gravity, a watch melts from a branch, a snail spreads its wings and Venus has drawers. Stories and wonders Dali had an encyclopedic culture and was fascinated by major themes from literature, mythology and religion. He used many different techniques to illustrate universal texts: Alice in Wonderland, Romeo and Juliet, Don Quixote, The Bible... As well as more personal works, such as Moses and Monotheism or The Alchemy of the Philosophers. Each book is an art object. Sculptures, drawings, water colors, engravings, lithographs, Espace Dali invites us to explore the main themes of his work: dreams, mythology, sensuality...

Difficult to find. Is around corner from artist square near Sacre Coeur. Museum is lowest floor only. Contains many Dali signed prints, original paintings and a number of sculptures.

At the top of a long hike/walk/stair climb is one of the most worthwhile stops in Paris. Tucked at the top of Montmartre, Espace Dali is a small, intimate building dedicated to the work of Salvador Dali, which is beautifully curated collection. It has managed...More

Intimate setting which, yet, gives such a full retrospective of Dali's artwork through different mediums and disciplines.

It's not easy to find, but it's worth the effort. It's just one big room, but I found it more 'digestible' than larger galleries, because it wasn't too busy, and it provided excellent information about the pieces in French and English. I learned a lot....More

The museum is a dedication to Dali's sculptures and some less famous drawings and paintings done by the surrealist. I am a large Dali fan so I found it to be a good museum. The audio tour provides worthwhile information for the tour. 1-2 hours...More

Would highly recommend this attraction to anyone who's a fan of art, surrealism, or Dalí. A good collection of works, very interesting. The attraction also has a gift shop, and a gallery where works can be bought. It isn't too expensive, and they offer concessions,...More

An amazing selection of Dali's art spread over a few rooms in a small gallery. It's in an easy to find location and we didn't have to line up at all. Skip the big tacky tourist attractions and head to the small galleries!

The museum is not huge, so do not set aside hours to visit. For Salvatore Dali fans it is a must! Just off place de tetre , you will not be disappointed !
